Attention all music fans! Richard Smerin is coming to Neumarkt on
Thurday 22 October!
After his last appearance at the Kangaroo Inn in April, all blues
fans will have another chance to see this outstanding blues guitarist
at work.
Richard Smerin was born in England in 1960. He learnt to play guitar
at the age of 7 and was later described as the best young guitarist in
the country.
Smerin moved to Copenhagen were he made his name on the Danish music
scene with a long series of concerts, opening for Joan Armatrading,
Alexis Corner and Bert Jansch. Back in London he played with B.B. King
and John Lee Hooker. Last year Smerin brought out a new CD, One-Off
Chance - Songs of Les French, dedicated to his late friend, songwriter
Les French. The critics unanimously acclaimed it as the best thing
Smerin has done to date.
